Thai-Muslim Trade Association to go ahead with World Halal Fest 2020 in show of commitment, confidence

Bangkok — The Thai Muslim Trade Association (TMTA) and CentralWorld Shopping Complex will organize a “World Halal Fest 2020” event between March 5th-8th, 2020, 11.00am. – 21.00 pm at the Central World Square under the theme of ‘Beauty in Diversity’.

Although planning and preparations for the event have been impacted by the coronavirus crisis, the TMTA has decided to go ahead with it in order to support the country’s desire to maintain normalcy and minimum impact on daily life, especially for small and medium sized enterprises.

Mr Marut Mekloy, Vice President, TMTA, said, “As the entire Thai tourism industry will be restructuring its marketing plans for the post-coronavirus crisis era, the Muslim market is going to be one of the most important potential sources of business. 

“Thailand enjoys good relations with the Islamic world. Events such as the World Halal Fest are designed to show that the Thai-Muslim community has full confidence in the future of Thailand and is committed to helping the country make a strong recovery.”

The event aims to promote Thailand’s Halal food, products and services offered by Thai Halal entrepreneurs, as well as, a multitude of interesting Halal products from our counterparts in many Muslim countries around the world.

The event aspires to foster greater understanding about Muslim cultures, foods, languages, arts, and ways of life, as well as, to promote harmony and respect between all faiths in multi-cultural societies. WHF2020 is expected to welcome more than 30,000 participants throughout the course of the event.

Sponsorship packages include time on the main stage to promote the sponsor’s business. Executive, Gold or VIP Booth packages are available, which include a booth in the best locations (Zone S), as shown in pink areas in the floor plan.
