Thai Foreign Correspondents Club to hold first Panel Discussion on Thai outbound travel boom

Inbound Thai tourism is booming. What is not commonly known is that so is Thai outbound travel. Thanks to a rising middle class, strong spending power and intense marketing by airlines, hotel groups, credit card companies, the number of Thai outbound travellers is expected to cross 10 million this year. A panel discussion will be held on Monday 11 June at the Foreign Correspondents Club of Thailand at 7 pm to highlight this phenomena.

The panel will begin with a presentation of the first comprehensive report on the Thai Outbound Travel Industry by Imtiaz Muqbil, Executive Editor, Travel Impact Newswire. It will cover a summary of trends that are shaping outbound travel, including social, demographic, technological drivers, along with some core recommendations that could give the market some added impetus.

 

That will be followed by a panel discussion featuring:

Mr Korakot Chatasingha, Director, Thailand Region,Thai Airways International.

Her Excellency Mrs Kshenuka Seneviratne, Ambassador to Thailand, Sri Lanka
