Indonesia to hold Creative Product Festival 2018 in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, April 6 (Bernama) — The National Publishing & News Corporation (NPNC),  set up jointly by the state-owned companies PT Balai Pustaka, Antara News Agency and Percetakan Negara Republik Indonesia (PNRI) is to organize the “Indonesia Creative Product Festival (ICPF) 2018” on April 13th – 15th at Dewan Tun Razak 4, Putra World Trade Center (PWTC) Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

ICPF 2018 will become an event to promote Indonesia’s small and medium scale products, to strengthen its international market share through the displaying of the best SME’s varied products, especially those under state-enterprises’ mentoring, in fashion sector, crafts, and other products which are grown from Indonesian culture.

The ICPF 2018 is fully supported by the Indonesia’s Ministry of State Owned Enterprises (SOEs), SOEs’ Creative House, Indonesian Embassy in Malaysia, Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), Malaysian leading mass media, and Indonesian Students Association in Malaysia (PPIM).

The ICPF 2018 event will have various activities including exhibition, art and culture performance, business matching, talkshow, fashion show, and musical show.

Various craft products from Indonesia’s unique creative industry will occupy an area of 3,000 m2 with 80 participants of SMEs under SOE’s mentoring. The event is targeted to draw 10,000 visitors.

In addition to promote Indonesian culture, the ICPF 2018 will also bring a better knowledge of Malaysian culture. The festival is expected to help the two countries to improve bilateral communication in trade toward a better cooperation, thus in the future Indonesian products can have a wider market in Malaysia, and vice versa.
