1964 – 1969 : Shipping Executive, P&O Lines (biggest shipping line in the world then)

1969 – 1972 : Administrative Assistant, Ministry of Finance, Singapore  (taxation, custom duties, rates & fees)

1972 – 1988 : Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Communications (involved closely with Changi Airport from conception, land reclamation   to construction of Changi airport up to completion of passenger terminal 1, cargo complexes, flight kitchens, etc)  

 1988 – 1990 : General Manager, Sentosa Development Corporation (involved in reclamation of Sentosa beaches & implementation of Sentosa master plan)

1990 – 1994 : (created Singapore Food Festival, Great Singapore Sales (GSS), etc. Developed MICE industry)

1994 – 1998 : Deputy Secretary (Management), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Human Resources, Technical Co-Operation, Properties, Protocol, Consular, Management & IT systems)

1998 – 2001 : Chief Executive, Sentosa Development Corporation/Chief Executive, Sentosa Cove Pte Ltd (involved in reclamation of Sentosa Cove & master planning of Sentosa & Sentosa Cove)

2001 – 2006 : Retired from Civil Service
