Continue fight against graft: Aamir to public – Hindustan Times

It was a star-studded moment at the Ramlila Maidan with Aamir Khan, Rajkumar Hirani and Sonu Nigam making an appearance on the 12th day of Anna Hazare’s protest. The crowd broke into a collective cheer as the celebrities made an appearance on stage. Aamir and Anna Hazare shared the centrestage and later the actor sent a strong message to the crowds with regard to the anti-graft movement.

“Anna Hazare’s movement has awakened all of us to join the struggle against corruption. I have read and understood the difference between both the versions of the Lokpal Bill. Since every person has his sight on this bill, it is imperative that a strong Lokpal Bill be passed,” Aamir Khan said.

He also urged the supporters who had gathered at the ground to extend their wholehearted participation even after the protest within the grounds was over.

“This struggle should not end after Anna Hazare breaks his fast. The country needs Anna’s leadership and we all understand that this is a process, which will be debated in Parliament. Till such time, I urge Anna to end his fast,” Aamir added.
