Date and Place of Birth: 9 November 1930, Solo, Java

He began his career in the Indonesian Air Force as Ensign First Air in 1951, followed by the School of Life Sciences Strategy (1952), USAF Flight School (1955), Staff College (England 1959). Chief of Staff of the Air Force from 27 November 1965 until March 31, 1966.

Remained with the Air Force until his retirement as Air Vice Marshal.

After retirement, set up a business selling aircraft and offering aviation consultancy on airport design and surveys.

In 1976, joined the tourism industry after setting up PT. Desa Air Tour Royale.

1979 – Elected President of ASITA, Association of Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies and served two consecutive terms until 1987. Was active during this period in ASEANTA.

Date of passing : 21 May 2007.

In his memory, the Palembang airfield, Palembang, South Sumatra. was renamed Sri Mulyono Herlambang airfield.
