Australians detained for assault, urination | The Jakarta Post

Two Australian brothers, Scott O’Hehir, 32, and Timothy O’Hehir, 27, have been detained at the North Kuta Police station after they allegedly assaulted a local man in Canggu village, North Kuta, Bali.

The brothers reportedly beat up and injured the man after the latter reprimanded them for urinating inside a shop construction site and behind a Hindu shrine in front of the shop.

North Kuta Police chief Adj. Comr. Ronny Riantoko Eppang said the incident happened on Friday night at around 7:30 p.m., in front of the Apakabar Restaurant on Jl. Batubolong in Canggu. The incident caused the victim, Wayan Mudipa, 35, injuries to his forehead and right hand.

Mudipa said he saw the two Australians urinating at his new shop, which is still under construction, on Friday night. Timothy allegedly urinated inside the shop, while Scott allegedly urinated behind the shrine.
