Singaporeans To Hit the Road in First Four-Day National Day Weekend In Over A Decade!

=========

Singapore – 11 July, 2013 – With the upcoming consecutive Hari Raya Puasa and National Day holidays on 8 and 9 August, the region’s online travel agent, ZUJI, has identified six of the top short-flight-time destinations from around the region, and six of the top long-haul flights to Europe for travellers willing to tag a few extra leave days onto the break.

Making up the list of Asian hot spots include buzzing cities like Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta, perfect for a shopping and food-filled getaway. While the more exotic locations such as Chiang Mai, Surabaya and Bali target those willing to de-stress, recuperate and enjoy a more cultural and sunny break.

ZUJI’s list of top European getaways feature the vibrant and history-rich cities of London, Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Barcelona, suitable for travellers who are keen to explore.

The back-to-back holiday, which hasn’t fallen on a National Day in over a decade, is a rarity on the Singapore public holiday calendar, with Chinese New Year being the only consistent annual longest break. To celebrate this, ZUJI is sharing some great travel specials as part of their ‘4toGo Asia’ and ‘2toGo Europe’ promotions. Travellers can enjoy a SGD100 airfare rebate on every flight booking when a minimum of four people organise a trip around the region, and a SGD200 airfare rebate on every booking when a minimum of two people confirm a flight to Europe.

ZUJI Singapore CEO, Chua Hui Wan explains “Singaporeans are among the most well-travelled in the region and tend to take advantage of long weekends to make short and long-haul trips to their favourite destinations.”

“We are witnessing an increasing demand for travel opportunities over long weekends in Singapore and with this demand, an expected overall spike in airfare prices are likely to be seen. ZUJI aims to provide on-going value offers to enable Singaporeans to getaway affordably, even during peak travel seasons, such as our current deals to Asia and Europe, which promote the trend that those who travel together, fly cheaper together”, Chua continued.

Travellers keen to organise their National Day long weekend break or year-end holidays can start placing bookings from today until 31 July on the ZUJI Singapore website #travelTogether page: zuji.com.sg/site/travel_deals/traveltogether.html
