=========

MCLEAN, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– February 28, 2013 — Booz Allen Hamilton today announced it was awarded two, five-year contracts under the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Technical, Acquisition and Business Support Services (TABSS) $11 billion multiple-award, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract vehicle. The wins, awarded on November 30, 2012 and February 15, 2013, are to support DHS and its components with program management, engineering, technology, business and financial management, and audit support services.

TABSS is specifically designed to provide a wide range of strategically-sourced professional support services for DHS. Booz Allen was selected to support Domain 1, which involves program management, engineering and technology support services, and Domain 2, which includes business management, financial management and audit support services. Both support the acquisition life cycle services needed to assist with the cross-organizational mission of DHS.

“We have provided critical support to DHS since its inception, and have the functional capability and in-depth knowledge of DHS and its component agencies needed to successfully deliver against the broad range of support services that the TABSS vehicle will provide,” said Chris Kelly, Booz Allen Senior Vice President. “At Booz Allen, we’ve been thinking a lot about how we can help DHS realize the full potential of its capabilities and achieve its mission goals during its next decade. The TABSS vehicle will allow us to help DHS adopt a strong, future-facing strategy and field capability against the aggregated homeland security and law enforcement mission.”

Since the creation of DHS, Booz Allen has worked side by side with the agency to implement integrated, collaborative strategies that contribute to the safety and security of the United States. As the agency plans for the next decade of homeland security, Booz Allen is leading the way with a new vision for homeland security and law enforcement. To read more: http://bit.ly/VskQEN.

Booz Allen Hamilton Launches Cyber4Sight Threat Intelligence Services

MCLEAN, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– February 25, 2013 — Booz Allen Hamilton today launched Cyber4Sight™ Threat Intelligence Services, which uses multiple data sources to identify and monitor an organization’s unique cyber security profile, determine its “attack surface,” and deploy military grade predictive intelligence to anticipate, prioritize and mitigate cyber threats 24/7. This anticipatory service produces real-time, practical indications and warnings so that commercial organizations can take defensive actions against cyber attacks long before they occur.

Today’s cyber threats are increasingly targeting corporations and governments to conduct industrial espionage, undermine business and financial operations and sabotage infrastructure. A perimeter defense alone is no longer sufficient protection – adversaries are too many, too fast and too sophisticated. Organizations need a new paradigm that combines real-time security resources with a rigorous method of mitigating cyber risks. Booz Allen has combined its deep functional cyber expertise from the intelligence community with its operational military experience to create Cyber4Sight.

“In today’s world, too many organizations wait until a cyber attack occurs before reacting to it,” said Booz Allen Vice Chairman Mike Mcconnell. “Cyber4Sight marks a shift from today’s largely reactive security posture to a preemptive, predictive intelligence perspective that ensures an organization stays one step ahead of its attackers.”

Booz Allen’s Cyber4Sight provides clients – from banks to insurance companies to energy utilities – with anticipatory cyber threat intelligence that allows them to cultivate a proactive security posture, get ahead of an attack, assess risks and take appropriate actions to mitigate future attacks. Cyber4Sight combines the science of Big Data with the art of analysis and information gathering to give clients a holistic, forward-looking cyber security program. This service is the result of a significant multi-year investment Booz Allen has made to create an infrastructure that globally integrates data collection, aggregation and analysis and engages cyber analysts from a myriad of disciplines.

McConnell continued, “Cyber4Sight stands apart from current services on the market. Booz Allen’s commitment to keeping cyber experts trained on the latest techniques, our all-source approach to adversary threat analysis and our use of in-depth linguistic and socio-cultural analysis make this product unique. Also, this new platform meets a critical ‘must have’ for all companies: it creates a more efficient bottom line by lowering operating costs and eliminates the need to create proprietary cyber security systems and hire and train cyber personnel each time the threat environment changes.”

Cyber4Sight provides cyber threat situational awareness, and helps public and private sector clients avoid surprises by delivering probability-based anticipatory warnings that help them avoid the cost of post-event recovery and mitigation, as well as the theft, destruction and public release of critical data. Booz Allen’s Cyber4Sight holistic scope of managed service centers on:

  • All-Source Data: Booz Allen’s data collection, aggregation and analysis platform filters millions of pieces of data from thousands of sources in real-time, resulting in highly tailored information that includes feedback to continuously improve processes.
  • Intelligence Analysis: Organizations make deliberate choices to conduct business transactions over the Internet, creating a constantly changing “attack surface” that can be exploited by cyber threats in real-time. Booz Allen analysts provide 24/7/365 threat monitoring to produce actionable and predictive information.
  • Managed Client Services: The suite of Cyber4Sight products includes: trip-wire reports, situation reports (SITREPs), spot reports (SPOTREP), daily summaries and requests for analysis and response.
